A few things you should know about composting…
Composting is a process that takes plant-based items back to the earth. With the right mix of conditions, the things that we eat (like fruit and veggie scraps) and things we use (like newspapers and egg cartons) can be broken down into nutrient-rich matter for the garden.
Don’t have a home compost bin?
Find grassroots community composting options close to you by researching local council collection points or checking the ShareWaste map to contribute to your neighbours’ compost bins and gardens.
Need organic waste collection for your business?
Set up a regular collection through Waste Ninja or search through the Australian Organics Recycling Association (AORA) for composting facilities that accepts organic waste.
